Five people were killed and two others injured after a wall collapsed onto them during the disassembling of a house in the northern Vietnamese province of Ha Giang on Saturday afternoon.
The accident occurred at around 1:30 pm at the home of Lu Van Xuan in Tu Nhan Commune, Hoang Su Phi District, according to Vu Manh Ha, the district’s Party chief.
A group of men were joining hands to tear down the house when one of the walls suddenly gave way onto them.
Five men, two of whom were teenagers, were killed, while two others were seriously injured and have received emergency treatment at the Hoang Su Phi District Hospital.

All of the victims are relatives, who live in the same village, said Lu Thi Xuan, an eyewitness. Local authorities have so far identified four of the deceased people, namely Lu Van Bang, Lu Van Dinh, Lu Xeo Loi, all 15, and Lu Xeo Dat, 16. Lu Van Kien, 30, and Lu Van Duong, 34, are being treated at the hospital. One of them suffered pelvic fracture, femoral fracture, and some visceral damage, while the other suffered spinal cord injury.
