Vietnam Wednesday confirmed eight new coronavirus cases – three foreigners and five Vietnamese including a 11-year-old boy with four in Hanoi and one in HCMC– bringing the national Covid-19 total to 76.
The three remaining patients are in the northern provinces of Hai Duong, Phu Tho and Ninh Binh according to the Ministry of Health.
Case 69th is a 30-year-old German citizen, who stays in Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi. He travel to Vietnam on March 13 on flight number SU290 and visited to some locations in Hanoi after that.
Case 70th and 71st are overseas Vietnamese students returning to Hanoi from the UK on March 16 on flight number TK164. The students and those who had been in close contact with them are all quarantined at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District of Hanoi.

Case 72nd, female, 25-year-old , French citizen, who traveled to Hanoi, Vietnam from France on the same flight from with case 60th in March 09. She visited to some locations in Hanoi and Ninh Binh after that.
Case 73rd, a 11-year-old boy in Thanh Mien district, Hai Duong city, who Baby to traveled to Vietnam on flight number VN54 on Mar 09
Case 74th, 23-year-old man, who lives in Lam Thao District of Phu Tho Province. He returned to Vietnam on flight number VN18 on March 16.
Case 75th, 40-year-old female, who lives in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. She traveled to London on March 4 and returned to Vietnam on flight number VN50, seat number 10E on March 15. Upon arrival, she showed no symptoms but per regulations, she was moved to quarantine at a makeshift hospital in Cu Chi District and had her samples taken, which returned positive on Wednesday.
Case 76th is a 52-year old Frenchman who landed in HCMC on March 10 from France. From then until March 16 he traveled to Can Tho, Hoi An, Hue and Ninh Binh. Health authorities in Ninh Binh Province tested his samples and found they were positive for the novel coronavirus. He is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
The flight details for “Case 72” and “Case 76” were not available at the time of publishing.
All the new cases are reportedly in stable health conditions, according to the Ministry of Health .
This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases to 76, in which 60 are active patients. The previous 16 patients have been discharged from hospitals.
