National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and Vinpearl, a subsidiary of conglomerate Vingroup, have joined forces to launch a scheme aimed at showing their gratitude for workers on the frontline in the battle against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The plan will see both firms come together to put forward a proposal to the Ministry of Health regarding an offer of 5,000 five-star vacations that can be used for medical workers taking on the nation’s COVID-19 cases.
Most notably, each holiday package is set to include a pair of round-trip tickets, along with three days and two nights at a five-star Vinpearl resort for up to four family members.
To compliment this offer, Vietnam Airlines are planning to cover the costs of 10,000 return tickets, equivalent to 5,000 pairs of tickets, whilst offering a 75% reduction in the price of the airfare for the other two people traveling alongside the medical professional.
Furthermore, Vinpearl are to offer 10,000 nights at their villas, equivalent to 5,000 vacations, for four family members at their resorts across the country.
A representative of Vinpearl stated that these vacations will include a package involving room service, food, entertainment, and tickets to VinWonders and Vinpearl Safari.
The scheme will be applied by Vietnam Airlines to its domestic routes which will connect travelers to Vinpearl resorts nationwide. At present, the plan is for both two enterprises to launch the programme in the six months before June 30, 2021, or following the expected end of the epidemic.
