The messages have caught public attention and been widely shared over the last few days.
A number of expatriates in Vietnam have conveyed touching messages of thank-you to front-line workers and people in Vietnam for their sacrifice in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Launched by a British teacher living in Hanoi, Wayne Worrell, the campaign is “dedicated to all the doctors, nurses, military personnel, police, firefighters, and voluntary workers throughout the country who are making the ultimate sacrifice to keep everyone safe.”
Wayne Worrell is also a blood donator. He is the one who told people in a Facebook group for expats living in Hanoi in mid-March about the donation that it is now “our turn to come together and help each other. Not only are you helping someone who needs it but you will also receive a few little gifts of thanks,” VnExpress reported.
