Another strong cold forecasted to hit northern Vietnam, the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting reported.
The chilly weather would affect northern and northern central localities in Vietnam from the evening of December 30.
The cold front would also bring light rain for the north and last for 3-4 days.
“It’s likely that people in northern localities would enjoy the upcoming New Year Holiday in bone-chilling weather,” Nguyen Van Huong, head of the centre’s Climate Forecasting Department said.
Huong also noted that, the central provinces from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh would have the same weather during this time. Meanwhile, heavy rains have been predicted for some other localities in the central region, including Quang Tri.

The Central Highlands would see rains with strong winds during the New Year holiday.
In January 2021, the northern region’s temperature would be 0.5-1 degree centigrade lower than the same period in previous years, the lowest level in the year. In the month, the north would have 4-5 cold spells, according to Dtinews, a local media.
