The last of Vietnam’s 16 coronavirus patients was discharged from the Quang Hà General Medical Clinic in Vĩnh Phúc Province on Wednesday morning.
The patient, a man, 50, from Son Loi Commune, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province, was hospitalized on February 12, 2020.

The patient was in direct contact with his daughter, one of eight Vietnamese people who tested positive for the virus after returning from Wuhan, China, on January 30, 2020. Vietnam News Agency reports.
Previously, the patient tested negative for coronavirus and was isolated for four days. By February 11, the patient started showing symptoms of a cough and runny nose, but no fever. On February 12, samples tested positive for the virus and he began undergoing treatment at Quang Hà Medical Clinic.
After 15 days of treatment, the patient’s symptoms cleared, and he has been declared as stable. The patient first tested negative on Sunday, second on Monday and for the third time on Tuesday.
With this latest release, all 16 coronavirus cases have been cured by Vietnamese doctors. Notably, no new cases have been reported during the last 13 days across the country.
According to SCMP, as of 8.30pm on Thursday, Feb 27, 2020 there were 82,455 confirmed coronavirus cases, 2,811
deaths and 32,765 recovered around the world, including mainland China and 40 other countries and territories.
The three Asian countries contribute around 24 per cent of the entire world economy, but have been hit hard by the coronavirus outbreak.
