Patient number 1342 – who was the first case of COVID-19 infection from the quarantine area of Vietnam Airlines – has transmitted the virus to the Patient number 1347, a 32-year-old Vietnamese resident of District 6, HCMC – an English teacher. Today, two other cases reported in HCMC, all linked to Patient number 1342
According to the last updated information from Vietnam’s Health Minister Pham Thanh Long, one of the new cases is a one year-old boy from District 6, HCMC. Patient number 1347 has had close contact with the boy and his parents on 22nd, 23rd, 25th and 27the of November. He tested positive for Covid-19 on 30th November, after the 1347 was confirmed infected with Covid-19.
According VTV, another case is a female, 28, who is a student of patient number 1347. Nine people in close contact with her have been quarantined and waiting for the test.
According to local media, the flight attendant had returned to Vietnam on November 14 and was quarantined for five days at a facility managed by Vietnam Airlines in HCMC.
After two tests showed he was negative for the coronavirus, he was asked to remain quarantined at his home in Bach Dang Street, Ward 2, Tan Binh District. He came into contact with his mother and two friends, including the English teacher – patient number 1347 – who lived in the same house with him.
Center for Disease Control in Ho Chi Minh city said the patient number 1347 has had close contact with 192 people before being detected., including 4 teachers.
Today morning, two primary schools of Vo Van Tan and Nguyen Hue in Ho Chi Minh city sent home all students after a positive test was reported, the infected person is an English teacher by trade, who visited his friend and 3 others, all of them are teachers at Vo Van Tan and Nguyen Hue primary schools, the CafeF, a local media reported.
According to CafeF, Nguyen Thị Minh Khai High School also requested 48 students of the same class to stay at home as one them has had close contact with the English teacher before being detected.
