According to a local online newspaper, an American woman, aged 70, was killed in a motorbike crash in Vietnam central city of Da Nang.
Information so far released about the accident says, the motorbike carrying the BKS: 92D1 – 121.94 is controlled by Mrs. Austin Phillis Michelle (70 years old, American nationality) on Nguyen Phuoc Lan Street in the direction of Ngu Hanh Son District – Cam Le District.
When coming to the roundabout about 300m from Trung Luong bridge, there was a collision with a truck of BKS: 43C – 151.00 (unidentified driver) circulating from a residential road to Nguyen Phuoc Lan. Kenh 14, a local media reported.

The accident happened around 12:00, May 04, 2020 at Hoa Quy ward of Ngu Hanh Son District in Da Nang, home to several attractions. The woman died on the spot after being dragged under the truck.

Over the four-day holiday (April 30 – May 03), Vietnam recorded a total of 132 accidents.
Seventy-nine people have died and Seventy-six others injured on Vietnam’s roads. Officers said the causes of the accidents included drink driving, people using the wrong lanes and illegal racing.
On Thursday and Friday, police across the country temporarily seized more than 120 motorbikes and arrested dozens of people racing on the roads.
