140 items of US food and beverage products were brought closer to Vietnamese consumers in HCMC and Hanoi this September.
MM Mega Market (MM) is cooperating with the United States Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA/FAS) held the opening ceremonies at MM Thang Long – Ha Noi and MM An Phu HCMC for “Khám Phá Mỹ Vị Hoa Kỳ” promotion of U.S. foods and beverages.
During the opening ceremony, representatives from over 20 major HORECA (hotel-restaurant-catering) organizations will join panels in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to share their cooking experiences and special recipes. The promotion at MM’s top 12 stores in Vietnam will be launched in 2 weeks.
This promotion is part of the “United Tastes – My Vi Ho Ky” campaign that FAS introduced in Vietnam in 2021. “United Tastes” is exclusively designed for the Vietnam market to share U.S. food and beverages with Vietnamese consumers and inspire Vietnamese customers to experience U.S. culinary culture.
140 food and beverage products introduced include vegetables, fruits, beef, chicken, seafood, canned food, sauces, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages from a wide range of well- known U.S. brands.
The event will also feature promotions, food samples, and give-away gifts for MM customers. Customers can participate in cooking demonstrations conducted by professional chefs, enjoy varied food specialties, and learn about new tailor-made recipes U.S on weekends.
The “Khám Phá Mỹ Vị Hoa Kỳ” promotion is also supported by eight non-profit USDA cooperators, who aim to promote high-quality and safe food, beverages, and agricultural products from the United States.
Mr. Benjamin Petlock, Senior Agricultural Attaché at the U.S. Consulate General in HCMC said “U.S. food and beverages have become more and more popular in Vietnam due to their high quality, safety, availability, and diversity. Today, Vietnamese consumers can easily find an extensive variety of U.S. food and beverages on shelves of all modern retail chains, including Mega Market stores.
