by Vietnam Insider

The Vietnam’s Ministry of Health confirmed no new Covid-19 patients Monday morning, marking the 32th consecutive day that there’s no community transmission of the disease.

Vietnam’s Covid-19 count now stays at 320, including 60 active patients. The rest have all recovered.

In the past 24 hours, two new cases were added, and both are Vietnamese citizens returning from Russia via a repatriation flight.

From April 16 to date, Vietnam has not recorded any cases caused by community transmission. Of the nation’s total cases, 180 are imported.

Health Ministry representatives have stressed more than once that cases found among arrivals from abroad should not be a public concern as all of them are sent to quarantine zones immediately after landing.

The guard should be put up for community transmission, in case there is any cases detected, they said.

The pandemic has spread to 213 countries and territories, and reported deaths have topped 316,500.
