Mai Linh – the most popular taxi brand in Vietnam and VNPAY just signed-off an agreement to deploy their innovative SmartPOS payment service on taxis. Up to now, Mai Linh is the first and only transportation services company in Vietnam offering Smart POS to its customers.
Mai Linh – has transformed the customer experience by deploying the SmartPOS throughout its fleet based in Hanoi and issuing the new contactless Mai Linh Green Card for regular taxi users.
Mai Linh is well known as a pioneering corporation that always leverages technology in improving the customer service throughout its network all over 63 provinces and 4 island districts of Vietnam. Meanwhile, VNPAY is renowned as a leading provider of electronic payment solutions in Vietnam. Therefore, the major thrust of this signing ceremony is to celebrate this significant advance towards optimizing the customer experience, utilizing the strengths of both parties in order to help Mai Linh customers experience the most modern and convenient payment method, contributing to the cashless payment of our country.
During the first phase, Smart POS machines have been installed throughout Mai Linh extensive network of taxis in Hanoi by VNPAY, replacing traditional POS machines. Moreover, during the next phase, SmartPOS devices will be deployed in southern provinces such as Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and tourist centers.
Through its collaboration with VNPAY, Mai Linh has taken customers experience to the next level of convenience by the seamless integration of 3 advanced form factors – electronic Point-of-Sale; NFC card issuance; and smartphone app – customized to the specific requirements of passenger transport.

This new generation of SmartPOS device features many exceptional functions. The device catches the customers’ eyes with elegant compact design and high mobility, equipped with the large multi-touch screen using Android operating system which is friendly to use; Bluetooth connection, WiFi, 4G connection, global GPS, rear camera to scan QR codes and barcodes… Furthermore, invoices can be printed; integrated with the vehicle management and reservation application developed by Mai Linh … With the aim of enhancing the customer service, the drivers only need a single device to meet every customer’s requirements.
In addition, SmartPOS also allows drivers to easily look up transaction history, reissue invoices, as well as change PINs and check Mai Linh membership card balance. SmartPOS is a unique device on the market that accepts most payment methods including: ATM cards, domestic and international cards payment cards; MCC member cards and the new Mai Linh ‘Green Card’ with prefix 120793; payment via VNPAY-QR code; eVouchers issued by Mai Linh; e-wallets services (Momo, Vi Viet), etc.
Thousands of Green Card – the latest card line of Mai Linh Group is also officially launched at this event. The card is integrated with NFC (Near-Field Communications) and QR Code technologies. Thus, it allows card holders to make payments without touching. Green Card is currently supporting corporates and individuals in the form of post-payment method. Therefore, using the Green Card helps customers to easily manage and control the total usage balance, allocate the total usage limit on cards, as well as actively issue the detailed statement arising … In the near future, Green Card will be integrated with prepaid payment methods by Mai Linh allowing customers to conveniently add money to the card at Mai Linh’s transaction offices nationwide or from E-wallets / linked bank accounts … for personal / business travel or for friends, relatives, partners’ gifts.
