The Hanoi air safety index remained “extremely bad” for several consecutive days.
On the morning of December 13, the Hanoi Department of Environmental Protection recorded 10 air quality index points (AQI) at purple color – above 200, equivalent to a “extremely bad” rating. This is a warning level that will affect people’s health, more seriously than the “bad” level.
According to a post on Vnexpress, at 8am this morning, the AQI at the Minh Khai measuring station (Bac Tu Liem) was 261; Embassy of France 266; The measurement stations at Sub-Departments of Environmental Protection, Hang Dau, Thanh Cong and Pham Van Dong all have AQI above 240.
According to statistics, a high AQI usually appears from 0h to 12h daily. Airvisual ranked Hanoi in the top 10 cities in the world with the highest AQI – 316. In particular, the measurement point in Tay Ho has the AQI index of 405. More than 40 of the organization’s measurement points PamAir also recorded AQI at a high level, most of the points have a index above 200.
