The Me Tri Truong Street in Me Tri Ward of Hanoi’s Nam Tu Liem has been locked down and pizza restaurant at 106 Tran Thai Tong street in Cau Giay District has been isolated on July 29th after suspected cases of the novel coronavirus were detected.
The suspected case, who lives in 230/26 Me Tri Thuong street, was said to have had a high temperature and breathing difficulties for several days after returning to Hanoi from Da Nang city. The Tien Phong Online News Channel reported.
The first rapid test by the National Hospital Of Tropical Diseases on July 29 showed the patient had contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes the COVID-19 disease.
Deputy director of Hanoi’s CDC, Mr. Khong Minh Tuan told the reporter that, the patient was then sent to National Hospital Of Tropical Diseases for follow-up PCR tests to see if he had been exposed to the virus.
According to a report by VNExpress, the Hanoi’s authority also isolated a part of Tran Thai Tong street in Cau Giay District at 9:30am July 29 after a suspected case detected. The suspected case is a staff of a pizza restaurant, which located at 106 Tran Thai Tong street. All staff of the restaurant have been isolated on site.
Vietnam reported eight new cases of COVID-19 infection on Wednesday, all of which are in the community, bringing its total confirmed cases to 446, according to its Ministry of Health.
The eight new cases, aged from 19 to 68, all are local residents of central Da Nang city, said the ministry.
The country reported seven new cases of COVID-19 infection yesterday, aged from 29 to 71, are local residents of central Da Nang city and Quang Nam province.
Meanwhile, four people have been recovered, raising the total cured cases in the country to 369 as of Tuesday, said the ministry.
The Vietnam’s Ministry of Health late Tuesday issued an urgent notice to trace people who have visited the venues or places where confirmed COVID-19 patients have been.
They called on anyone who has visited the following locations in Da Nang City and Quảng Nam Province – Vietnam’s latest COVID-19 hotspots – to come forward and seek medical help as soon as possible.
They must also self-quarantine at home, file a health status declaration at https://tokhaiyte.vn or download NCOVI app (the links for download can be found at https://ncovi.vn) and frequently submit information regarding their health.
