The city people’s committee asked for the PM’s directive and related provincial and city authorities to co-operate to ensure that all preventive measures are met.
The Ministry of Transport was asked to operate several trains to transport students and employees in Danang to their hometowns.
According to Danang People’s Committee, they had carried out all measures to fight against Covid-19 since July 28. All means of transportation to and from Danang have been halted so a large number of tourists, students, employees and relatives have been stuck in the city.
Many people have expressed the desire to return to their hometowns as the situation in Danang is still very complicated.
Nguyen Van An, deputy director of the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, said the city had over 16,000 employees coming from other cities and provinces and 7,000 of them wished to return to their hometowns. There are also 6,000 students at universities and colleges.
The department has given a lot of support to stuck residents and made the proposal to send them home to the city people’s committee.
