The 28-metre-high glass bridge project connecting two tourist sites in Da Lat has been suspended for having no licence.
Da Lat People’s Committee announced the decision to fine Thanh Thanh Cong Lam Dong Company on January 15. The company was constructing a bridge with 7D glass to connect the Valley of Love and Dream Hill.
The company already completed the anchored bulkhead and the towers that are 20 and 28 metres tall. When the authorities inspected the project, the workers are dealing with the cables and building the four metres high and 8×20 metre waiting room.
The inspectors found out that six three-needled pine trees were chopped down illegally inside the 270-square-metre protective forest.
The authorities asked the company to halt construction immediately. Da Lat People’s Committee issued an administrative fine of VND40m for building the glass bridge without a permit.
