From now on, people can apply for permanent residence at home on the website of the Residence Management Public Service Portal.
In addition, it is easier to check the progress and receive the results of the case processing when it can be done online on the same website.
Step 1: Visit the website of the Residence Management Public Service Portal at https://dichvucong.dancuquocgia.gov.vn/
On the main screen interface, select Permanent residence.
Step 2: The system will ask people to log in to the National Public Service Portal account to continue.
People enter ID card number and password to log in to the system. In case people do not have an account, click Register to create an account (the simplest way to register is to choose to register with a mobile subscription).
Step 3: Fill in all information; Information marked with an asterisk (*) is required and cannot be left blank.
In the end, people need to attach photo files of documents to help the authorities verify and process the application.
People can choose to receive notification of settlement results through the portal or directly at the police headquarters.
Finally, select I am responsible before the law for the above statement, click Save and submit to complete the registration.
All declared information must match the information managed in the National Population Database. Otherwise, the system will ask people to go to the residence management agency (commune-level police) to update and supplement information.
Within 7 working days from the date of receipt of valid dossiers, the residence management agency will notify the results of settlement of permanent residence registration procedures according to the form people choose to receive results.
To know if their case has been resolved or not, the progress or the results of the settlement, people can look up the progress of the application right on the Residence Management Public Service Portal.
However, the form of searching and receiving results depends on the people’s choice in the section Information to receive settlement results above.
If people choose to receive results directly, people need to go to the commune-level police station where they temporarily reside to ask.
If you choose the Portal, on the Home page of the Residence Management Public Service Portal, select Manage Public Service Records, then select Newly Registered Profile. When the new interface appears, enter the profile code and select Administrative procedures to know if your profile has been approved or not.
