A foreign man was detained on November 12 at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi after claiming there was a bomb in the plane.
According to a representative from Pacific Airlines, their flight BL6011 was preparing to take off to Ho Chi Minh City at 11:25 am when a Filipino passenger showed abnormal psychological symptoms and started screaming there was a bomb on the plane.
The flight crew immediately postponed the flight and took the man to the airport for questioning by security forces. All other passengers were also asked to return to the airport for another security check, the Dan Tri, a local media reported.
While the plane was being checked, Pacific Airlines sent another aircraft to transport the passengers to HCM City at 5 pm.
The Filipino man, whose identity has not been released, was kept at the airport for further investigations.
According to director of the Northern Airports Authority, Tran Hoai Phuong, they are further investigating the incident and no irregularity has been found on the plane so far
